Introduction
This
essay is technically the English translation of the original essay, I won’t
write this essay translated word by word. Rest easy though that the core
message of both essays will be the same. To those frequenting my blog, many
will know what kind of things I write. In my journey of writing and logical
deduction, I have made many writings with ideas that I claim to be truth,
ironically it is only now that I make an essay actually detailing the universal
truth. The reason for this is because before, I did not have an actual
formalized and laid out argument about the universal truth, only now I managed
to write it in a decently organized and structured manner. As such, that is the
background of this essay, I hope you enjoy.
Worries
Why
is it that I am concerned so much about the truth? After all I’m only 14 years
old, meaning I have only spent 14 years on this planet, what kind of wisdom
does a teen that young has? Is it all just arrogance or delusions? Honestly,
I’d wish I was just delusional, but it doesn’t seem so. It all started with an
odd recurrence within my life, an extreme feeling of despair ever since my mom
was taken away by the Almighty. I was confused as to the cause of my despair
and suffering, and I looked everywhere, until I reached the truth. Then, before
I realized it, my life has become very devoted, almost obsessed in finding this
so called truth. It is only when I actually discovered the truth, that I
realized what I just involved myself in. That is, with the knowledge of the
truth, I must commit to it and thus my next mission is to spread the truth,
which is why I am writing this essay.
To
clear things up, I don’t view myself as an important person nor do I feel I
have any significance within this world. I often look down upon myself and
wonder, why am I doing this? As if anyone cares, and that’s the point. The more
I understand, the more I realized the urgency of this “truth”, as I know that
at this rate, the world will go into a terrible chaos and conflict if the truth
is not opened now. Where is my evidence then? Well, I am witness to it, I
thought consciousness of the truth and what is right, some sort of moral
standard is a common thing and something widespread. However, what I see is the
opposite, the truth is seen as the object of holy people and not something of
common knowledge. In fact, I actually feel detached from the society as a
result of the “truth”, while others are focused on materialistic and hedonistic
desires. In the end, I can not let things go by like this, I must do something,
and this is the least I can do for now.
Existence of The Truth
If
there is anyone who dare says that the truth doesn’t exist, I must say that I
hope they are prepared to change their beliefs very soon. What gives me the
confidence to say this? You see, the implications of a truthless world is
severe, as then it would render the existence of anything to be impossible.
I’ll explain this later on. Regardless, I believe an inquiry on what kind of
truth we are searching is needed. For the record, we are searching for a truth
that is universal, objective, and is true in all circumstances without
exception and unaffected by personal opinion. That is the truth that we are
seeking, and I am confident enough to say that the truth truly exists, and I
won’t claim this if I have no evidence, as such, let us analyze and scrutinize
that evidence.
Evidence of The Existence of The
Truth
The
truth by nature is any statement that describes reality and is aligned with it,
meaning that we can match the statement with reality and there will be no
differences between the described reality and the true reality. As such, the
reality described here must be the true reality, and not the ones we hope to
be, i.e. fantasies and dreams. We can determine the truth of a statement with
the laws of logic. Logic is essentially a study on how to produce information
from existing information, one might describe it as information synthesis,
however it is also a study of determining the truth behind the results of such
synthesis. Basically, we can use the laws of logic to determine what is true,
and it is only appropriate that we learn just a little about the laws of logic.
As
we know, the truth is any statement that does not come in conflict with
reality, in other words no contradiction is found between the statement and
reality. In the laws of logic, statements go by the term “argument” and they
are composed of two elements. These two elements are the premises and the
conclusion. A premise is known existing information, while conclusions are new
information that is deducted from the premises. Basically, a conclusion is a
sort of description that combines existing information and states the
consequence of such information. For example, we have two premises that is
humans are mammals and all mammals give birth. We can then conclude that humans
give birth. The specific details of this conclusion is related to a
mathematical theory known as set theory, but I won’t go into details. Regardless,
we have now the tools needed to determine the truth.
Seeking The Truth
If
the truth is any statement that aligns with reality as it is, wouldn’t it make
the truth very easy to find? For example, the earth is round, is that untrue?
Of course, while most people would say that it is true, myself counted, we must
still question the truth of this statement. That is what evidence do we have
for such statement? In the logical context, the question is what premises do we
have to deduce that conclusion? Of course, anyone can explain the evidence for
the roundness of the earth, and I too can mention some explanations even if I
am not well acquainted with the subject. The problem is, many people are
satisfied with simply knowing the premises towards a certain conclusion, when in
reality such premises are inevitably conclusions of other premises. As such, we
must keep analyzing the premises until a point where all premises are proven true.
And if we fail to do so, it means the entire line of reasoning collapses.
As
such, why not try with a simple biological statement and fact, that is blood is red, perhaps we can find the
truth through that. Of course, as usual we must understand the evidence or the
premises that support that statement. And asking others won’t help though, as
from peasants to doctors everyone will answer that blood is red. However, what kind of evidence do we have though? We
can attempt to illustrate the premises and conclusions in an organized
structure as follows.
(P1) If we see object X with condition Y, then that
is the reality.
(P2) We view blood with the condition of red color.
(C) Blood is red.
This
argument seems quite clear cut, at first glance that is. However, we must still
examine this argument and determine whether it truly is true or simply looking
like true. We can do this by examining the truth of the premises itself, which
becomes the basis for deducting our conclusion. The second premise is obviously
true, as that is the reason why we can say that blood is red in the first
place. However, the first premise is the reason that validates the truth of the
second premise, as such we must analyze that first premise. If we look at the
premise individually at first glance, it’s clear that it seems quite fishy. As
such, why don’t we try to illustrate the reasoning behind the statement that
what we see is real?
(P1) Humans have eyes.
(P2) Eyes record visual information about reality.
(C) Visual information recorded through the human eyes describes reality.
Of
course, this argument seems solid and irrefutable at first glance, but readers
might start to understand that this argument too is suspicious. As you can see,
both premises are starting to be quite difficult to actually prove. The first
premise requires us to prove that the eye exists in the first place, and the
second premise requires us to prove that reality outside of the human mind
exists and that information recorded through the human eyes is indeed accurate.
I can go on and prove it, however the point is clear that at this point in
time, it is impossible to determine the truth of such statements. This is
because for every statement containing a premise separate from itself, it
requires us to determine the truth of such premises as well. In the end we
simply keep trying to find more premises for the original premises and end up
in an infinite regression, not a good thing at all.
As
a result, we want to start from the beginning, the very beginning. That is we
wish to seek a truth that can stand for itself, in other words its premise is
itself, imagine a house that is also the foundation of that same house, that is
the kind of truth we wish to determine. As without any external premises to
prove, that truth can simply stand on its own without any form of external
evidence, and as a result we can not question such truth any further and we can
be convinced of its truthness. That kind of truth can be described as the
Universal Truth. Before we continue, I would like to restate that the
statements we covered previously is not false. As if we can say that it is
false, it means we have evidence, however at this point in time, we have no
evidence of reality whatsoever. What I wish to say is that the truth of such
statements can not be determined. At this point, one might then conclude that
there is no such thing as a universal truth, very well then, why don’t we test
that argument as well?
It does not Exist?
Readers
may begin to despair and think that the truth truly does not exist. However, I
must say that such a claim does not leave us without any severe logical
consequence. What are those logical consequences? First, I would’ve realized
that this essay is simply meaningless and everything I have done up to this
point makes no sense at all and that I am a delusional lunatic that thinks they
are “special” or “important” when they are simply insignificant to the world.
Regardless, while this seems insane, let us challenge the claim that the truth
does not exist.
(P) The truth doesn’t exist.
(C) Reality doesn’t exist.
Well
if that is not an obscurely vague and concise argument, I don’t know what is,
furthermore how can there be only one premise for that conclusion? The truth
is, I deliberately made the argument like that, in order to invite the readers
to reach their own conclusions and have them use their rational minds.
Regardless, there is a much more complete version of that argument, and weirdly
enough, those two statements are actually interchangeable, how is that? First,
we’ll need the definition of truth, “any statement that is aligned with reality
as it is,” and now we can start to unravel this mystery.
(1) The truth is any statement that is aligned with
reality as it is.
(2) The truth doesn’t exist.
(C) Reality doesn’t exist as there is no statement that can describe reality as
it is.
(1) The truth is any statement that is aligned with reality as it is.
(2) Reality doesn’t exist.
(C) The truth doesn’t exist as there is no reality that can be described.
That,
my esteemed readers, is the true form of the argument that the truth doesn’t
exist and reality doesn’t exist. There is one difference between them though,
the first form deduces the cause of the non existence of truth, while the
second form deduces the consequence of the non existence of reality. In short,
the first form shows an inference while the second form shows a prediction.
Regardless, both forms have the same meaning, that truth and reality doesn’t
exist. Is that it then? Is that the end of our journey? That is indeed what is
being said by the atheists and materialists, however, fear not for that
argument that the truth doesn’t exist has destroyed itself.
We
still have one last hope, and that is the second method of analyzing an
argument. If we previously we have only searched for the truth of the early
premises, which I must say is actually the most effective manner, there is one
more method, commonly used by folks who are just too lazy to search for the
premises. This method, is to find contradictions within itself, basically if we
search for premises, we search for contradictions between the statement and
reality, here we search for contradictions between elements of the statement.
An ideology is usually a series of arguments with their own premises and
conclusions, now if we look deep enough, we may find contradictions that can
actually self destruct the argument. This, dear readers, is our last chance.
First
of all, there is no logical law that prohibits us from making statements
describing statements. While usually a statement describes reality, we can
create a metastatement, in other words a statement that describes another
statement. Now, we will rewrite the arguments, but there are some additional
sentences. The first is the actual statement, this is the statement that we
wish to prove the validity of, and finally there is a metastatement, that is
the statement that describes the truth value of the examined statement. Now,
pay attention very closely, both forms will be written, as to make the truth
clearer for all of us.
(S) Reality doesn’t exist
(1) The truth is any statement that is aligned with
reality as it is.
(2) The truth doesn’t exist.
(C) Reality doesn’t exist as there is no statement that can describe reality as
it is.
(MS) The statement that reality doesn’t exist is
true.
(S) The truth doesn’t exist.
(1) The truth is any statement that is aligned with
reality as it is.
(2) Reality doesn’t exist.
(C) The truth doesn’t exist as there is no reality that can be described.
(MS) The statement that the truth doesn’t exist is
true.
Now,
has the contradiction came to light? Ironic isn’t it, by claiming that no
statements are true, we have indeed created a true statement. This statement is
none other than the statement that the truth does not exist as well as reality.
However, that means there are at least two separate statements that genuinely
describe reality, and the very existence of these statements are sole proof
that the argument in of itself is false and self contradictory. As a result,
the argument self defeats, the truth exists and now we can create the true line
of reasoning to reach the truth.
(1) The truth is any statement that is aligned with
reality as it is.
(2) Reality doesn’t exist.
(C) The truth doesn’t exist as there is no reality that can be described.
(1) The truth is any statement that is aligned with
reality as it is.
(2) Reality doesn’t exist.
(C) The statement that the truth doesn’t exist is true as there is no reality
that can be described.
(1) The truth is any statement that is aligned with
reality as it is.
(2) The statement that the truth doesn’t exist is true.
(C) The truth exists.
(1) The truth is any statement that is aligned with
reality as it is.
(2) The truth exists.
(C) Reality exists as there must be a reality that can be described by the
truth.
That
is the ultimate truth, that reality exists and the truth exists, the truth of
all truths, it is the truth that is independent and is indisputable,
irrefutable, and applies to every edge of the cosmos in every time without any
exceptions. Of course there are other methods to reach this holy truth as well,
however I find the contradictive method to be the most reliable. After all,
using that method we do not make any assumptions, and it is important to not
make assumptions, especially baseless ones in logical discourse. This is
because it is essentially a statement that we made up, most likely so the truth
describes a reality that we wanted, and not how it is, though by doing that we
never even found the truth, as it has been tainted by our personal opinion.
Regardless, that is the truth that we have worked so hard to find.
So,
it is irrefutable that reality exists, however what kind of reality? The answer
is simple, that reality is also known as consciousness, one of the most
important aspects of human life, yet the most unexplored, at least in my
opinion. How is this possible? What kind of evidence do we have? You see, a
conscious observer is required to obtain any information at all, if there is no
conscious observer, the truth effectively doesn’t exist and that kills off
reality. However we proved that argument to be self defeating which means there
is consciousness. I can discuss this more deeply, but not today. Since we have
ascertained that consciousness is the ultimate reality, what is the
significance for us? This is the true purpose of this essay, to expose the
meaning behind this elusive consciousness.
Truth of God
If
one reads the subheading, they must already have a brief idea what is the
significance of the truth of consciousness. As you see, consciousness is the
only reality that can be proven to exist, and technically it is the only
reality to exist. This brings an interesting question, that is what of all
other things that supposedly exist? Such as mountains, people, forests, cities,
stars and so and so? The answer can be found within the principle of the
conservation of energy, it states that energy can not be destroyed nor created,
it can only be changed. As a result, the same goes for the consciousness, which
we can appropriately term as the true God. Everything else is merely a
variation, manifestation, or reflection of the same reality known as God. And
that is the ultimate reality of this world.
Conclusion
The
conclusion has already been stated, that the ultimate truth is that reality
exists and that reality is consciousness. It is ironic that people who denies
God will eventually realize that logically, such a belief is nonsense, and when
they claim allegiance with the truth, it is unfortunate that the truth will
stab them in the back in time. Of course, the existence of this ultimate truth
and reality should become our foundations of all other ideas, including but not
limited to morality. As such, we may be able to discover a consistent nature of
morality, perhaps. Of course, do I claim the truth espoused by this essay to be
truth? Well, I do claim so, as a result if anyone has a higher truth than this
text, then I challenge you to debunk every argument made within this essay. And
should that happen, I will concede defeat and declare myself to a mental asylum
or something. So good luck for those who has yet to grasp the truth, and for
those who managed to do so, that is all I have to say for now, have a nice day
and see you later.
